“When We All Get to Heaven” was written by Eliza Edmunds Hewitt. She was once a schoolteacher, however she was injured and became a shut in for several years. In order to be useful, she began to write for her church. Eventually, she wrote both poems and hymns for the church. “When We All Get to Heaven” was originally written in 1898.
