As we continue the series The Finish Line, ”Out of the Valley of Selfishness," warns of the perilous and emotionally challenging times predicted in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. In this passage, 19 characteristics of selfishness are highlighted to be prevalent in the last days. Pointing to the pervasiveness of these traits in contemporary society emphasizes that such self-obsession could lead to greater emotional distress, poor health, unhappy relationships, and lower life satisfaction. Not only confined to the secular world, this message challenges the church to cultivate the fruits of the Spirit diligently and continually serve others, as exemplified by Jesus.
