Howie DiSavino III - NASCAR driver on battling anger, having patience and overcoming the loss of his mom

Howie DiSavino III is a NASCAR driver who in 2022 reached the second-highest division of stock car racing, the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In the summer of 2019, DiSavino made his ARCA Menards Series debut (a semi-pro league for stock car racing) and two years after that he was racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He took 2023 off but plans to return to racing in 2024.


Today on the podcast, we talk to Howie DiSavino III about his racing journey, growing up on a farm in Chesterfield, Virginia, losing his mom to cancer in 2021, battling anger and growing in his faith after that tragic loss.

Dot Richardson - Liberty University head softball coach on honoring the Lord and winning Olympic Gold in 1996

Dot Richardson is the head softball coach at Liberty University. She was named to her position on July 17, 2013 and since then, has taken the Flames to three NCAA Regionals and six straight full seasons of 40 wins or more. In 2023, Liberty eliminated No. 2 UCLA and Grand Canyon to make a Regional Final for the third time in program history and set a school single-season record for wins over Top-25 teams (4).

Prior to coaching, Richardson was an elite softball player, starting in college at UCLA where she helped the Bruins to their first ever NCAA championship in 1982 and was named NCAA Player of the Decade in the 1980's. In 1996, she was a member Team USA that captured their first ever Olympic Gold Medal in softball. She repeated the effort four years later and won a second Gold medal in 2000.  Today on the podcast, we talk to Dot Richardson about coaching at Liberty, impacting lives for the kingdom, honoring the Lord with her words and actions and being bold in her faith.

Orlando Hudson is a former MLB infielder who played 11 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox. He was a four-time Gold Glove winner (2005-07, ’09) and was named to two All-Star teams with Arizona (’07) and Los Angeles (’09). He was selected in the 43rd round of the 1997 MLB Draft by Toronto after playing his college ball at Spartanburg Methodist College in South Carolina. He made his MLB debut five years later with Toronto on July 24, 2002. Currently, he’s a player development assistant in baseball operations with the Diamondbacks. Today on the podcast, we talk to Orlando Hudson about his MLB career, handling success, being lukewarm in his faith, confidence versus cockiness, and living a life of obedience to Christ. Adam Wainwright - Former Cardinals pitcher on retirement, broadcasting, music and giving back with Water Mission

Adam Wainwright is a former MLB pitcher who played 18 years with the St. Louis Cardinals from 2005-2023. He finished his career with 200 career wins, three All-Star selections, two World Series championships, two Gold Gloves and the 2020 Roberto Clemente Award winner.

Jason Adam - Tampa Bay Rays pitcher on standing firm in his faith and being bold for Jesus

Jason Adam is a pitcher with the Tampa Bay Rays. In 2022, he helped the Rays to a postseason berth, pitching in 67 games with an ERA of 1.56. In 2023, he pitched in 56 games and helped the Rays to another postseason appearance.

Originally drafted by the Royals in the fifth round of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft, he made his MLB debut May 5, 2018, with Kansas City. In 2019, he pitched with the Blue Jays in Toronto and then signed with Chicago, splitting time with the big-league club and their Triple-A affiliate in Iowa in 2020 and 2021.

Morgan Ensberg - Former MLB All-Star on placing control in God's hands and leading with actions not words

Morgan Ensberg is a former MLB player who was selected in the 9th round of the 1998 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros. He made his MLB debut on September 20, 2000 with Houston and would go on to have an eight-year MLB career with the Astros, Padres and Yankees. In 2005, he was named the All-Star team and led the Astros to the World Series, hitting .283 with 36 home runs and 101 RBI.

After retirement, Ensberg went into coaching and is currently the manager of the Rays AAA affiliate Durham Bulls.

Bart Millard is the lead singer of the legendary Christian rock band MercyMe. Founded in 1994, the band has released 11 studio albums and had 13 consecutive top-five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. Its latest album, “Always Only Jesus,” released in 2022.

Millard’s life was depicted in the 2018 movie “I Can Only Imagine,” in which actor Dennis Quaid starred as his father who struggled with addiction and violence before coming to faith before his death from cancer.

Today on the podcast, Bart Millard discusses his experience seeing the Texas Rangers win the World Series, the rollercoaster of being a Dallas Cowboys fan, and the bond between sports and family. Tony Beasley - Texas Rangers coach on winning the World Series, trusting God in trials and representing Jesus in baseball

Tony Beasley is the third base coach of the Texas Rangers. Originally selected in the 19th round of the 1989 MLB Draft as a player, Beasley played 10 seasons of minor-league ball from 1989-1998, making two Carolina League All-Star teams, but he never made it to the major leagues.

After retiring from playing, Beasley went into coaching and achieved his MLB dream by becoming a coach with the Washington Nationals under manager Frank Robinson. After spending four seasons in Washington, Beasley moved to the Pirates organization. In 2015, he was named to his current role with the Rangers. In February 2016, Beasley was diagnosed with rectal cancer, forcing him to miss the start of the 2016 season. He was declared cancer-free in December 2016.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Tony Beasley about being a 2023 World Series champion, praying for God to be glorified, representing Jesus in baseball and trusting God in the midst of trials.
