While Todd imagined solitary confinement might offer relief from overcrowding, the pastor saw it differently: being alone meant having no one with whom to share Jesus. Seeing fellow prisoners accept Christ gave meaning to his suffering.

His hardship did not end neatly. He and his wife remain displaced and face an uncertain future.

Your Past Doesn’t Cancel God’s Plan
