Makeda: Sheba's Queen

What if one of the most powerful encounters in Scripture became the beginning of a queen’s transformation?

Makeda: Sheba’s Queen — Solomon’s Song, is a cinematic historical faith drama inspired by the biblical acco Read Moreunt of the Queen of Sheba and her encounter with King Solomon, as well as the Ethiopian Kebra Negast, one of the foundational texts of Ethiopian tradition surrounding the Queen of Sheba and Solomon. The series explores the woman behind the legend: a young queen navigating leadership, cultural expectations, questions of faith, and the weight of a kingdom on her shoulders.

At the heart of Makeda’s journey is Solomon. More than the king she travels to meet, he becomes a pivotal presence in her life and a catalyst for profound questions about wisdom, leadership, righteousness, faith, and the God he serves. Through his words, wisdom, faith, and relationship with God, Solomon challenges Makeda to see power differently and confront questions that have been stirring within her long before they meet.

This is 'Solomon’s Song' —the wisdom he carries, the truths he speaks, the faith he embodies, and the lasting resonance of their encounter. While Makeda remains at the center of the story, Solomon’s influence is essential to the woman and queen she becomes. Their encounter reaches beyond romance; it becomes a meeting of two rulers, two cultures, and two people whose lives and legacies become intertwined.

Set against the grandeur of the ancient world, Makeda: Sheba’s Queen explores faith, leadership, wisdom, cultural identity, love, responsibility, and legacy while bringing a richly imagined perspective to one of history and Scripture’s most enduring royal encounters.
